Language school Beijing, Mandarin House

Our partner school has its premises in the China Central Place, an ultramodern complex which houses hotels, shops, banks and other businesses as well as local and international offices, at the hear t of the business district of Beijing. Sanlitun Bar Street and the other most famous nightlife and shopping spots in the city are easily reachable. The language course building offers a calm, professional and friendly environment, an ideal environment for learning the language, to students. In addition, the teachers make an effort to give each student as much personalised attention as possible. During breaks, you will be able to enjoy the various available areas for relaxing and chatting with the other students over a cup of tea or coffee.

Shared apartment
Our partner school proposes sharing an apartment with other international students around 30 minutes away from the language school building. The apartments are modern, cleaned every week and are well-equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, bedlinen and bath towels, air-conditioning/heating, TV and telephone. You will have your own bedroom and will share the common rooms with your flatmates.

Private apartment/studio
Students who wish to be totally independent where they are living will be able to stay in a private apartment or studio. These offer the same benefits and the same comfort as the shared apartments, only that they are for private use.

Host family
In spite of the limited number of places available, the option of staying with a host family exists. Living around 50 minutes from the school, you will have a single room with half board provided and will share the bathroom with your host family and will have access to the kitchen. This type of accommodation will allow you to get closer to the Chinese way of life and will give you the unrivalled opportunity to practise your Chinese to the maximum with native speakers.

The school organises a series of optional, accompanied activities and cultural outings each week. Some outings are free of charge, others within an affordable price range. You will go on the discovery of the Forbidden City, with its yellow tiled roofs; to the Great Wall of China (about a hundred kilometres away); to the Temple of the Lamas, with its lavish gardens. The Temple of the Sky, where it was the Emperor’s custom to go and pray for a good harvest, will also have you enchanted. The famous and controversial Tiananmen Square, the largest in the world occupying 40 hectares in the heart of the city, and the Museum of Modern Art, among other attractions, will fill up your afternoons and your scrapbook.
