School

Our partner school is situated at the heart of the city of Xi'an, close to the historical centre, to the south-east of the former wall. The language school has its premises in a modern, two-storey building and offers a friendly atmosphere for learning Mandarin. There are 16 classrooms, a library, a computer room with Internet access, a student lounge and a fitted kitchen. In the summer, you can make the most out of the school's courtyard and the roof terrace. This small school also welcomes, in the evenings and at weekends, Chinese students who come to learn English, German, Spanish and French. This provides you with a good opportunity to make friend with local students who will show you around their fabulous city and with whom you will be able to put your language knowledge into practice.

Accommodation

Host family
If you wished to be immersed 100% in the Chinese language and culture, then accommodation with a host family is an excellent option. It will allow you to meet the people of the country and to discover their way of life from the inside, to taste real Chinese cuisine and to practise your new language knowledge  in everyday situations. Living around 20-30 minutes away from the school, you will stay in a single room with half board or breakfast only provided.

Shared apartment
Our partner school makes furnished apartments available to students who wish to live closer to the city centre. You can choose to live on your own or to share with one or two other students. Apart from the bedrooms, each apartment has a bathroom, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen for preparing your meals. They are chosen and inspected by the school, which aims to provide students with a pleasant, bright and warm environment.

Leisure

Using language in a sporting or social context is a very good way to develop skills that you have acquired in class during your Mandarin lessons. Our partner school offers students the opportunity to participate in activities and outings, some free or at a reduced price, both during the week and at weekends. From the vestiges of the prestigious Tang capital to the effervescence of the ultramodern Xi’an…you will have numerous photos to put on your blog!
