Our partner school in Brisbane offers a unique setting for your studies in Australia. The school has its own garden and a terrace overlooking Brisbane River, from which you can see Shafston House, an architectural work of art from the 14th century, refitted by the school’s founder. This historic building combined with the other more modern buildings that surround it makes the campus one of the most beautiful and successful in Australia. The facilities available for students include 32 comfortable and very well equipped classrooms, a student centre, a learning resource centre, 2 computer rooms with Internet access, a student lounge with a view over the river, a large library, an excellent restaurant/cafeteria, free parking, sports fields, not to forget the grassy nooks surrounding the campus and along the length of the river. It is also worth noting that Shafston International College offers an orientation and professional placement service for student visa holders.

Accomodation

Host family
Host families are located 15-30 minutes from the school. They offer accommodation in individual rooms with breakfast and dinner provided daily. This is a great choice for international students.
Shafston Mansions Residence
Just moments from the school, a magnificent building was constructed in 2000 to accommodate students from around the world in the best conditions. The school’s student residence offers double or individual rooms equipped with a kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, as well as a television. Residents also have a large gym available to them. This option offers excellent quality for money.

Leisure

The school offers a sports program that is based directly on the grassy areas within the campus or nearby. Social and cultural activities are also proposed, and outings and excursions are organised regularly. Brisbane is close to numerous other places of interest such as the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise, Byron Bay or Fraser Island, just to name a few. The school will help you to organise weekend excursions.
