Since 1996, our partner school in Cairns has been linked to Cairns Business College, an establishment with a good reputation for its high-quality teaching. This tradition of teaching at a high standard is perpetuated and reflected in the excellent results obtained by the students. The teaching is focussed on an overall assimilation of English through the development of the faculties of language and communication with the support of various computer tools. Eurocentres is located in the heart of the exciting city of Cairns. The central train station is 5 minutes' walk away and in order to take one of the numerous buses which serve the city and its suburbs, it will take you only 15 minutes by foot. Our partner school has 20 air-conditioned classrooms, a learning centre, a library, 2 large computer rooms, free Internet access and relaxation areas (student lounge with drinks vending machines, recreation rooms) available to its students. Gardens allow you make the most of the sun between classes. And in order to have something to eat, you can go to the restaurant or café where you can eat organic products.

All of the host families are chosen with care by our partner school and live within a perimeter of 10-40 minutes by public transport of the course centre. You will occupy a single room and will benefit from half board during the week and full board at weekends. The common rooms like the bathroom and the living room are to be shared with your hosts.

Shared apartment
The apartments, which have comfortable bedrooms and are well-kept, are located 5-15 minutes away from the course centre. You will share the bathroom, kitchen and living room with your flatmates. A nice opportunity to establish contact wth the other international students!

The possibilities of filling in your leisure time are almost unlimited in Cairns and our partner school presents a more than complete weekly activities programme which includes, among others, barbecue evenings, restaurant or theatre outings, badminton, squash, football, parasailing, jet skiing, sailing, canoeing, horse riding, underwater diving, excursions to the Great Barrier Reef, the discovery of the tropical rainforest and of the Aboriginal culture, days at the beach, etc. The bravest will go to confront the crocodiles or will board a cable car in order to fly over the jungle! The nature here is so luxuriant that it will captivate you from the first day. Some activities are at a small charge.
