School

Our partner school is located on the grounds of the Charles Darwin University, about 15 minutes from the city-centre. The school has 6 classrooms and offers students access to all the university’s facilities. In this way, students can attend a lecture or watch a film in the auditorium. Internet access is available free of charge in the classrooms and study areas. There is also a WiFi connection in the library. After class, you can relax in the café or the common room, which is equipped with a fridge and microwaves. Darwin’s largest shopping mall, the Casuarina Shopping Centre, is located only 10 minutes’ walk away from the university. Students can also find many different things to eat here.

Leisure

Australia is bound to be a change of scenery for you, so don’t hesitate to try all the activities offered to you by the “boomerang club”. Sports, of course… football, dancing, volleyball, ping-pong tournaments and fishing trips (among the best in the country), plus there are all the opportunities to get together and make new friends outside of classes: trips to the cinema and BBQs on the beach, pub trivia nights, free concerts, didgeridoo lessons and bushwalking. To discover the country, you can also go on excursions to the Kakadu national park, classified as a UNESCO world heritage site, and to the Lichfield nature reserve for a refreshing swim.
