The study centre is located in the heart of the city centre, only a few minutes' walk from the shops, cinema complexes, restaurants and cafés of Darling Harbour, the main train station as well as the central bus station, and the main tourist attractions. ELC offers a teaching method that is based on active learning. The school has 22 very well-equipped classrooms, an Internet/multimedia centre with free Internet and WiFi access, a student kitchen and student lounge, easy access for wheelchair users and a job placement agency and travel agency to help organise all sorts of trips, during or after studies.Our partner school distinguishes itself by this excellent advice and information service, not only for academic issues but also for everything regarding life in Sydney (jobs, work placement, private accommodation) and the numerous opportunities that Australia has to offer.

Accommodation

Host family
Living with a host family is a great way of immersing yourself in the Australian way of life during your stay in Sydney. You will stay in a single room with half board provided and will be around 30 minutes away from the school.

Residence ELC
The ELC language school proposes staying in its new residence, a nice and large house, which has been entirely renovated, with a terrace. It has an excellent location, as it is only 10 minutes' walk away from the school, just on the opposite side of Darling Harbour, in the centre of Sydney. You will stay in a single or double room, and will share the modern facilities with your housemates, including the equipped kitchen, the two bathrooms, a lounge with a flat-screen TV and computer, the WiFi connection available throughout the building and you will have a magnetic card for accessing the residence.
Availability is limited and therefore, it is recommended to book in advance.

Residence "Glebe YHA"
Around 15 minutes away from the school by bus, in a laid-back district with plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars, this welcoming and comfortable youth hostel offers some single rooms but especially shared rooms (2 or 4 people) with shared bathrooms. The roof of the building houses a large terrace with an uninterrupted view of the city and where numerous barbeques and other events are organised by the friendly staff of the hostel. Those staying there can also meet up in the TV/video room, the games room or the Internet café.

The school offers a varied activities programme (visits, sports or culture). Most of them are included in the price, and when there are costs involved (transport, accommodation, entrance fees…), students benefit from substantial reductions.
