School

Our LSI partner school is situated in the very centre of Vancouver. Shops, cafés, shopping centres, galleries and theatres are only a few minutes' walk away and the main means of public transport (Seabus, Skytram) are also close to the language school building. In this way, you will be able to take advantage and explore the length and breadth of what they call the "Pearl of the Pacific". The school occupies the first floor of a modern building. You will be able to make use out of the 14 comfortable classrooms, a language lab, a computer room with Internet access and a wide choice of books. During breaks, you will be able to relax and enjoy the student lounge with your new friends unless you would prefer to take advantate of the numerous cafés and restaurants of Nelson Square.

Accommodation

Host family
Staying with a host family in Vancouver will allow you to improve your command of English daily and to get to know the culture and customs of Canada in depth.  The families live around 30 and 60 minutes away from the course centre by public transport. You will stay in a single room with half board provided.

Leisure

There is no shortage of cultural or sports activities in Vancouver. You will be able to visit the numerous parks (Lighthouse Park, Lynn Canyon, Queen Elizabeth Park) and museums (Vancouver Art Gallery and the UBC Museum of Anthropology). When it comes to sports, a whole host of teams await you, including the NHL Canucks, CFL Lions...who will you support in the arena? For going out with your new friends, Vancouver offers without any doubt one of the best music scenes and the best restaurants in British Columbia. You will be spoilt for choice. Each month, our LSI partner school organises excursions to the capital, Victoria, and to the famous ski resort, Whistler. In the summer, you will have the possibility to go cycling, rafting and hiking, and in the winter, of course, skiing, snowboarding and ice skating. Vancouver awaits you for a thrilling language study stay!
