Accommodation

Host family
As the school is situated in a residential area, most of the families live only a few minutes' walking distance from the school, and some times a few minutes away by bus. The host families are carefully selected and represent without any doubt the best option to continue practising the language outside of class. They offer accommodation in a single room with half board during the week and full board at weekends.

Student house (from 18 years)
The school owns some family houses which have been converted and equipped in order to welcome students, some with a garden and barbeque equipment. Located around 15 minutes away from the language school building, all of these houses can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 people. The students stay in a single room and share the common rooms and equipment, such as the kitchen, the living room with TV/DVD, the bathroom and the washing machine.

Leisure

Very active in encouraging integration, the school offers a complete leisure program that allows students to meet and practise English in a relaxed and easy manner. The school proposes themed evenings (lectures, videos, international cooking evenings, quizzes, theatre…) as well as sports (water sports, climbing, group sports…), not to forget the very popular “sing-song” nights that allow students to learn English songs from a traditional and modern repertoire, with an added section for international music from students’ countries of origin.
BEET offers regular Saturday excursions to places such as London, Bath, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Salisbury and Stonehenge. There are also organised coastal tours and visits to the New Forest, the picturesque Jurassic Coast (a UNESCO World Heritage Site to the west of Bournemouth), and other places of interest.

Testimonial

Dorine Tauxe Having had several experiences in various foreign countries to learn the language there, I knew that the only way to improve my level of English was to travel abroad. Great Britain was an obvious choice for me, and ESL found a school in Bournemouth for me, where I was able to take intensive classes during a month and to stay in a very nice family. Exactly what I wanted! This school (BEET) proposes excellent courses, with very competent teachers and in a convivial atmosphere. In addition, the stay is greatly enriched by the meeting of other students of various nationalities. If I had to give a piece of advice to all the people who would still hesitate about carrying out a language study stay, it would be: don't hesitate for a second more, travel abroad! Enjoy your stay!
