I appreciate the teachers` instruction methods. They give us a lot of advice in order to find and fill our weaknesses. Therefore, British Study Centres provides a good foundation and helps each student to develop his/her English knowledge. Moreover, there are several small groups to learn in good conditions where the level of the students determines the speed of the lesson. The location of the school is ideal because it is near the shops, pubs and it is easy to meet new people to improve your English.

Brighton is a beautiful city, next to the sea and the students are often happy to go out to the nightclubs, cinema, pubs, restaurants or fast food restaurants. One of the first things you should try is swimming in the sea! The school is good because there are different types of accommodation. If you are not sure, you can contact ESL and choose between a student house and a host family. It depends on you, whether you are really independent and like living with a lot of people of different nationalities. There are a lot of different nationalities in the school and you can speak with them only in English.

For my language stay, I chose Brighton. It is a beautiful and charming city which is home to very friendly people. I felt really comfortable in Brighton, especially with my host family, where I lived together with a girl from Kazakhstan. The language school offers a great variety of teachers, who are dedicated to helping you if you wish to improve your language skills in the minimum amount of time. The school staff is extremely helpful. The favourite part of my stay was certainly the cooking course in Jamie Oliver’s school, which I had booked right at the beginning of my language stay. This course not only gave me the opportunity to come into contact with local people, but it also taught me how to prepare special dishes (like an American Chili, Thai Curry or Porkbelly).

In August I spent four weeks in Brighton to attend the CAE course. Brighton is a very nice city to live in and offers you a lot of different things. You can go clubbing, shopping, swimming, having fun with your new friends or take trips to various places in its surrounding area, for example to Seven Sisters. I chose British Study Centres because only there could I do the CAE course in the four weeks of august. It was absolutely the right decision! The atmosphere in the school is easy going and cosmopolitan, so it isn’t difficult at all to feel at home there, and the garden is a perfect place to spend your breaks in. The teachers did their very best to prepare us for the exam and we had a lot of fun. During the four weeks I stayed in a student house. I liked to live there because it was an interesting and exiting experience to have something to do with different people from various countries.
