Our partner school was founded in September 2004. It is located in the city centre, in the heart of the business district and only a few minutes on foot from the Bristol Temple Meads train station. The school occupies the first floor of a modern building and has 18 classrooms. Outside of lesson time, students have access to a recreation area and an individual study centre where there are computers available with free Internet access. Students can also benefit from WiFi access in the school. During the high season, extra classrooms are used in a University and a secondary school. The Bristol Language Centre particularly distinguishes itself by its partnership with several colleges and Universities and offers relevant advice to students wishing to pursue their studies in Great Britain.

Accommodation

Host family
To allow you to fully immerse yourself in the Bristol lifestyle and the English culture in general, our partner school offers this excellent solution: a host family. Students stay in a single room and share the common areas of the household. Half-board is optional, allowing those who are more independent the freedom to cook their own meals or eat out more often. Access to the school is generally easy, on foot or by bus depending on the distance, varying between about 15 and 45 minutes.

BLC Luxury Studios (from 18 years)
These studios are located in Bristol’s town centre, just a 20-minute walk from the course centre. They are also close to many shops, bars and restaurants, which gives international students the freedom to live independently. In the same building, you will find a gym, a cinema, a games room, coin-operated laundry facilities and a communal area to relax. Wi-Fi access is free throughout the building. The studios are comfortably furnished and equipped with a large bed, plasma TV, a table, chairs, a desk and a kitchen with hob, microwave/oven, grill and all necessary cooking equipment. You will also benefit from an en-suite bathroom. Bedlinen is provided but you need to bring your own bath towels.

Leisure

The Bristol Language Centre offers a leisure program all year round. It is generally made up of two to three activities during the week and a weekend excursion, all with the aim of allowing you to discover as many sides of Bristol and England as possible, in the company of other students. And for those who would prefer to enjoy all that this city and its surrounds has to offer by themselves, there is an abundance of choice: film and music festivals, theatre and street markets for Bristol culture, and Stonehenge, Glastonbury or the Welsh countryside nearby.
