School

Our partner school is on 2 sites located close together and right in the heart of this historic and prestigious city, 5 minutes’ from the world-famous King’s College. It is relatively small and therefore benefits from a friendly, family atmosphere, ideal for making friends and for learning. There are 10 classrooms across both buildings, and a well-equipped Student Service Centre with TV lounge, library, common room and internet room with WIFI. During the high season and depending on the number of participants, the school offers extra classrooms close to the main course centre.

Accommodation

Host family
Living with a host family is a unique opportunity to get the most out of your stay. The families live around 30 to 40 minutes by bus away from the school. Being constantly immersed in the English language and culture allows you to make rapid progress. Families offer half board, which is also very advantageous when calculating your weekly budget.

Student House (recommended 18-25 years)
EC also proposes the accommodation option of staying in student house. Students stay in single or double rooms and share the common room, such as the kitchen, living room, bathroom and laundry room, with each other. The student houses are located approximately 30-40 minutes walking distance or a short bus ride, from the school and are equipped with a WiFi connection.

Leisure

A varied programme of activities is offered each week. It’s a great opportunity for students to get to know each other better while discovering the different places of interest in the town and the region. Sport also occupies an important place, for those wishing to take advantage of the numerous possibilities that Cambridge has to offer. Trips to London, Leeds or York, either in a group or individually, are easily organised.

Testimonial

Experienced group leaders to accompany you! Theepan Ratneswaran Punting, King’s College, Great St Mary’s – this is Cambridge. The central library in the shopping centre, the pub The Eagle, the place where DNA was discovered and many English schools – this is Cambridge too.

The renowned English university town, located 80 km to the north east of London and of the same size as Bern, is not famous for its parties, but rather for its teaching tradition. The EC school where I studied English is located in the town centre, right next to the venerable marketplace and the recently inaugurated Grand Arcade commercial centre. If you don’t want to give up parties, even though your course schedule is quite busy, you are welcome to visit the town’s numerous pubs, nightclubs and student houses. Despite the peaceful atmosphere of the place, you can have fun everywhere – because where there are students, there are parties!
