School

Our partner school in Eastbourne benefits from accreditations by the British Council and is a member of English UK. It is situated a few metres away from the beach, in a very nice building surrounded by a garden, and has an outdoor heated swimming pool and a terrace. Besides the well-equipped classrooms, you will also find multimedia equipment and free Internet access, video players, a DVD library and a language lab. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, you will find it in the well-equipped pedagogical library. You will be very close to the town centre of Eastbourne, which is practical for doing your shopping! The shops, restaurants and other attractions as well as sports facilities are located nearby. A canteen looks out onto the terrace and gardens. The school gives quality teaching for international students with an average age of around 22 years. But of course, the youngest (from 14 years) or younger students can also take advantage of this setting for their studies.

Accommodation

Host family
Most of the families recruited by the school have welcomed students for several years and therefore are aware of their needs. They generally live around 15-25 minutes walk from the school and offer accommodation in a single room with half board provided during the week and full board provided at weekends.During the high season, students under 16 years may be placed in a double room with another student of a different mother tongue but of the same age. For students travelling together, there is also the possibility of staying in a double room, which is at an attractive price. Contact us for further information on this offer.

Residence "Welkin Hall" (from 18 years) (available 12.08-16.09)
During high season, students looking for more independence can stay in the "Welkin Hall" residence on the Eastourne Campus of the University of Brighton campus. Situated around 15 minutes' walking distance away from the language school, you will stay in a single room with a private bathroom, and will have the use of an equipped kitchen to share meals and recipes with 6-8 other students. An excellent opportunity to make friends from the four corners of the world!

Hotels, guesthouse
For more independence, these two possibilities are foreseen and are to be determined depending on your budget. Additional information and prices on request.

Leisure

The school organises trips to London to attend the famous musicals “Phantom of the Opera” and “The Lion King”. You’ve never heard of them? Then perhaps you would prefer to spend the weekend in Oxford, Cambridge or Brighton with your new friends? Or to go away camping? Enjoy a round of golf? Whatever your desires, Eastbourne and its surrounds will certainly not leave you bored!

Testimonial

Alicia Zufferey Eastbourne is a quiet but interesting place, it's great to be so near the beach. It is a good place to go and study. If you open your mind and speak to the host family, it's really good. I know if I need any help they will be there for me. I like playing with the children and I feel they trust me because we always talk about things together. Everything is great! the teachers, the course and the school! I always had good teachers. If you try and speak English all the time it is really interesting and you can make a lot of friends and learn about other cultures.
