School

At the heart of the City, our partner school is only a stone's throw away from Oxford Street, the most animated shopping street in London, and everything the West End has to offer. The Bond Street tube station is only one minute's walk away. The school is equipped with free, WiFi Internet access, an independent study centre and a cafeteria. These facilities and the availability of the teachers will allow you to learn English in a friendly atmosphere. English Out There! offers courses which correspond to a concept which is radically different from other language schools. Its creed: acquiring new language skills in class and practising them directly "out there" in places of activity, in everyday situations. The first part of the daily classes happens at the school, and the second part outside, in the streets, shops, a park, at a museum or in a café. We recommend that you consequently get a season ticket for London public transport and that you include a waterproof jacket and comfortable shoes in your luggage. London becomes like a second classroom which is like no other, off the beaten track.

Accommodation

Host family
Staying with a host family allows you to discover and to continually experience the English lifestyle and culture. You will be able to practise the language in an authentic environment daily. You will stay in a single room with half board. You will need to expect between 30 and 60 minutes' journey to reach the city centre. If you choose the option of "superior host family", you will benefit from a private bathroom. In addition, the distance between the school and your accommodation will be reduced.
International Student House
This youth hostel welcomes numerous international students and tourists looking for budget accommodation throughout the year. The bedrooms are generally shared (there are some single rooms available) with a bathroom on the same floor, and you have half board. The building also has a TV room, an Internet café, a gym, a laundry room, a restaurant and a bar. This accommodation option is ideal if you like living with others and making new friends.

Leisure

As outings are an integral part of the language course, the school does not propose any weekly activities. Nevertheless, every Friday evening is traditionally dedicated to discovering London's nightlife. Everyone meets at 6 p.m. to go to a typical pub and get the weekend off to a convivial start. Every student receives a "welcome pack" from the school full of ideas for going out and of leisure activities. Every Monday, the good ideas for the week are posted on the noticeboard, such as concerts, exhibitions, events not to be missed. Everything is made available to you so that you never find yourself inactive. Some excursions to places outside of London are also organised for the weekends. It's only a matter of signing up in time!
