Accommodation

Host family
Staying with a host family is certainly the ideal means of combining English culture with the practice of the language. This option, chosen by the majority of students, will allow you to make the most out of your stay. You will gain ease and confidence by using the language you have learned in class in real-life situations and in a friendly environment. All of the families are selected with care by our partner school. Manchester, being a multicultural city par excellence, offers the possibility to students to stay with suitable families regarding special meals (Halal, Kosher...). You will stay in a single room with half board provided, around 30 minutes by public transport away from the school. Prices and information on request.

Residence "Marsa House" (from 18 years)
Our partner school proposes staying in a residence, in a beautiful 19th century house which has managed to keep its charm, typical of the Victorian era, with a shower and sink in each bedroom. This option allows you to make friends quickly with other students from the school as you will share the kitchen, dining room, living room and garden terrace with them. In order to organise your meals, you will be able to take advantage of the Newton Heath market only a few minutes' walk away. You will need to allow for around 15 minutes' journey time by bus to get to the school. Prices and information on request.

Shared apartments "Wilmslow Park" (available from 16th July until 11th September)
Our partner school in Manchester also proposes to its students to stay in the Wilmslow Park shared apartment. This modern building, close to all conveniences, is located approximately 30 minutes by public transport away from the course centre. This type of accommodation is ideal if you wish to meet and spend time with international students. Staying in a single room with a private bathroom, you will share the equipped kitchen and living room between 4 or 5 flatmates. You will also have access to the indoor swimming pool and gym for £1 per day, to the Internet café as well as the laundry room. Bedlinen and bath towels are provided. For your security, there is 24-hour surveillance in place in the building.
Prices on request.

Testimonial

Torbay during the Easter holidays - a good idea! Guerric Merrer Following my first months spent here, I don't regret my choice. Each day that goes by, Manchester does not cease to surprise me more. The typical and atypical pubs, live concerts, shopping, students on each corner of the street, the "Red Devils" etc... Manchester Academy of English is a school with a great reputation. A great variety of teachers, students from throughout the world, a team who cater for the small needs of students and numerous activities are all the ingredients necessary so that our English is at a top level at the end of our stay. Manchester represents culture and diversity with a nice mix of flavours. This city is therefore the ideal place to improve your skills in the language of Shakespeare.
