Our partner school, Manchester Academy of English,has its premises in Manchester city centre, where it has been established since 1991. It is close to fashionable shops, restaurants, cafés and bars and is only a stone's throw away from Picadilly Gardens, where students can go to relax during their free time. The school offers students a serious, yet relaxed atmosphere for studying English. The school is equipped with 12 classrooms, a library, a language lab, a multimedia centre with Internet access and a comfortable TV/lounge room.

Accommodation

Host family
One of the most popular accommodation options for students studying English at Manchester Academy of English is staying with a host family. This is an ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in English culture and to have the chance to practise your English daily outside of class in a relaxed and motivating atmosphere. Host families are carefully selected by our partner school and generally live around 30 minutes away from the school. You will stay in a single room with half board provided.

Residence "Marsa House" (from 18 years)
For students who wish to be more independent during their stay, the school also proposes staying in a student residence, a beautiful 19th Century house which is situated around 15 minutes away from the school and only a few minutes' walk away from Newton Heath Market. You will stay in a single room. There are no meals provided but you can prepare your own meals in the shared kitchen. You will also share a dining room, living room and a terrace and garden with the other international students staying in the residence.

Leisure

The school does everything possible to ensure that its students get the most out of the delights that this city has to offer. A staff member organises social activities and will answer all your questions. Activities include trips to the pub or the theatre, meals out and parties, or an excursion to the Lake District, for example. There is something to suit all tastes and budgets.
