Our partner school, Manchester Academy of English,has its premises in Manchester city centre, where it has been established since 1991. It is close to fashionable shops, restaurants, cafés and bars and is only a stone's throw away from Piccadilly Gardens, where students can go to relax during their free time. The school offers students a serious, yet relaxed atmosphere for studying English. The school is equipped with 20 classrooms, a library, a language lab, a multimedia centre with Internet access and a comfortable TV/lounge room.

Host family
Staying with a host family is certainly the ideal means of combining English culture with the practice of the language. This option, chosen by the majority of students, will allow you to make the most out of your stay. You will gain ease and confidence by using the language you have learned in class in real-life situations and in a friendly environment. All of the families are selected with care by our partner school. Manchester, being a multicultural city par excellence, offers the possibility to students to stay with suitable families regarding special meals (Halal, Kosher...). Residence "Marsa House" (from 18 years)
Our partner school proposes staying in a residence, in a beautiful 19th century house which has managed to keep its charm, typical of the Victorian era, with a shower and sink in each bedroom. This option allows you to make friends quickly with other students from the school as you will share the kitchen, dining room, living room and garden terrace with them. In order to organise your meals, you will be able to take advantage of the Newton Heath market only a few minutes' walk away. You will need to allow for around 15 minutes' journey time by bus to get to the school. Prices and information on request.

The school goes out of its way to help students get the most out of the delights that this city has to offer. A staff member organises social activities and will answer all your questions. Activities include trips to the pub or the theatre, meals out and parties, or an excursion to the Lake District, for example. There is something to suit all tastes and budgets.
