Accommodation

Host family
By staying with a host family, you will gain a better understanding of the English culture and will have the opportunity to practise your English daily in an informal setting. You will stay in a single room and will have half board. The families are located around 15-20 minutes away from the school.

Residence "Burell House" (available from 07.06 until 06.09.10)
Our partner school proposes to you to stay in a residence belonging to the University of Portsmouth. Located around fifteen minutes from the course centre, the residence is located in a calm district a stone's throw away from the seafront and from all the attractions of the city. It includes 120 single rooms, four kitchens and common bathrooms. In each bedroom, you will find: a bed, a desk, a sink and a wardrobe. A paying laundry room is available to the residents as well as a WiFi Internet connection. You will have the opportunity to meet the other students and to watch a good film in their company in the lounge with television of the residence.
Please note that bedlinen, bath towels and kitchen utensils are not provided.

Leisure

The school offers a varied program of leisure activities each week. During the week, nights out at the pub, movies or theatre and museum visits and sports (from sailing to bowling, football and golf) are all popular. On Saturdays, students can take excursions to Bath, Salisbury and Stonehenge, the Isle of Whight or London. It’s an ideal way to meet students from the other classes and to discover Portsmouth and its surrounding region with your new friends.
