Accommodation

Host family
You will be accommodated in households which will allow you to take full advantage of your stay.  You will learn everything about the daily life of the inhabitants of this residential suburb of London and will practise English in this relaxed and familial atmosphere which will help you to progress in the command of the language. You will occupy a single room and you will benefit from half board. Bedlinen is provided, but you should bring your own bath towels. As the course centre is located in a residential area, on average, the host families are located 10-30 minutes' walk away from the school. The "superior host family" option allows you to choose families in whose homes you will have the use of a single room, equipped with a television, a large bed and a private bathroom.

Residence Crystal Palace (from 16 years) (02.01-29.06.12/22.09.12-...)
The residence is located right in Crystal Palace Park, 15 minutes away by bus from the school. It offers well-equipped single or double bedrooms and bathrooms to be shared with a maximum of 3 roommates. The common living room allows the residents to meet with other international students and Internet access is included in the price. The rooms are cleaned and the bedlinen and towels are changed every week. In the same building, you will find a swimming pool, a gym, squash courts and a climbing wall. You can choose between breakfast or half board accommodation in summer (19th June – 14th August) ; outside these dates, you will benefit from breakfast only.

Leisure

Our partner school's year-round social programme offers students the opportunity of guided trips or the freedom to organise their own time. Weekly visits to London with a teacher, table-tennis and social evenings at the school and a varied cultural lecture programme are a few of the activities on offer. Full-day weekend excursions to many of the UK's most well-known cities can be organised at additional cost, such as Cambridge, Brighton, Oxford, Liverpool, Manchester and Bath. Local facilities close to the school include a swimming pool, gym and tennis courts.

Testimonial

Sabrina de Pierri Rizzello The reason why I chose Kings London was because I wanted to study and live outside of London but also be near London for visits in my free time. I walked all around London. I visited all kinds of attractions and museums. I like the school because it is small, friendly, nice people and a good mix of nationalities. I like the fact that the host, the shops and the school are in the same area. The course is good for me and they monitor your level well. I love British food and British people! The school was really good, the host was perfect — I choose the Homestay Extra self-catering option. I couldn’t dream better than that! I would recommend Kings 100%. In fact I might book another course with my boyfriend next year at Kings.
