A small but welcoming town, York is the perfect place to improve your English. My language course with ESL at the English Language Centre was a rich and unforgettable experience. During my stay there, I could improve my English and in the meantime have a lot of fun. I met fantastic people from different countries with whom I spent fantastic moments. The school is well organized. It offers activities for every day and excursions for every weekend. The teachers teach with passion and love and they are always available if you have any problems. They can also help you if you are looking for a new accommodation or a job... I found a job with their aid and I am still working.

I stayed with an adorable host family for more than 6 months. I felt very comfortable with them. They were always kind and available for me and I have been keeping in touch with them since I left. They were really like my real family! I visited many places like London, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Whitby... The nightlife in York is fantastic. York is rich of shops, cafes, night clubs, restaurants. I used go out every weekend but I didn't mind about the place where i was. I had excellent friends and I had great time everywhere!

I was in York when there was the Royal Wedding and I can't describe how was the atmosphere there. York was totally blue white and red and people were very happy. I love people there, they are always kind and polite. I really enjoyed my time there and made a lot of good friends from all over the world, so you will not regret it! I really recommend it to you! It was the best period of my life!

I have never really been interested in nor attracted to the English language. I thought it would never be useful to me. During a job interview, I was asked if I could speak English because they were looking to hire teachers for this language. I contacted ESL and I was advised to take a language course in England, more specifically in the little town of York, in the north of this wonderful country. I was told that there was a very famous school there. Without thinking too much about it, I immediately considered this option as the right solution.

I have been living in York for more than 2 months. I would never have thought that it would be so pleasant and easy to travel to England and learn English there.
