BELS

Our partner school BELS is a friendly and convivial English school that emphasises teaching quality. Situated in Gozo, twin sister of the island of Malta, its location is ideal: in the countryside, about 5mins by foot from Kercem and 20 mins by foot from Victoria, the island’s principal city. The language centre is fully air-conditioned and contains 8 classrooms. English lessons take place in small groups (maximum 12, 8 on average) allowing teachers to give maximum attention to each student. In the common room, the school provides a small area for individual study and some computers with Internet access (€7/week). An outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a sun terrace will allow you to relax during the breaks or after your English classes.

Accomodation

Host family in Gozo
Staying in a host family will allow you to make the utmost of your stay in Gozo. All families are carefully selected by the BELS language school and are located about 30-40 minutes from the language centre. You will stay in a private room (a double room during the summer) with half board. Every day you will discover a little more about the Maltese culture and the warm and open inhabitants of Gozo and you will learn English in a friendly atmosphere – without even realising you are doing so!
Residence-apartment in Gozo
Our language school in Gozo has two residences, with one located 5 minutes by foot from the language centre. The other is further away – you will need to allow about 30 mins for the journey – in Xlendi on the coast! You will stay in a private room and will share the following facilities with your housemates: bathroom, kitchen and dining room. Staying in a residence provides an excellent opportunity for meeting international students, trying out new Maltese recipes and sharing the unique experience of a language course in Malta. For those students who prefer more independence, BELS English language school offers studios in both residences with a private bathroom and kitchen.

Gozo is a dream setting for learning English while making the most of your free time. From Qala Point to that of San Dimitri via the bays of Marsalforn and Xlendi, Malta’s twin sister contains an abundance of treasures. Marvel at its impressive archaeological remains, dive in its paradisiacal marine beds, relish its delicious Maltese cuisine and enjoy an evening out with friends in the warm atmosphere of its taverns. Whether on foot, by bicycle, on horseback or by boat, the island of the nymph Calypso is a joy to discover.
