I spent three months in Auckland, New Zealand. It was a unique experience with interesting encounters. ESL made it possible, with the Crown school right in the heart of the action of Auckland. The open-minded and helpful teachers of the Cambridge Advanced challenged me where it was necessary and they were very motivating and good humoured. The stunning nature of the country, the culture of the Maoris, the openness of the natives and the friendly contact between newcomers from throughout the world, managed to bestow me with an unforgettable time...an experience for life, that is definitely recommendable!

When I arrived in New Zealand, I felt immediately like I was in my own country. My homestay family and the school environment helped me to feel very comfortable. I met many people from all around the world during my stay. I discovered the wonders of New Zealand thanks to the school trips and by myself, enjoying trips with friends which I had made principally at school. My English level has progressed a lot, I enjoyed the Crown courses with many different great and competent teachers and also I improved my communication skills by hanging out and using my English for my whole New Zealand life. I have kept in touch with some people that I met there and they have became some of my best friends.

My summer in Auckland has been so amazing that I can’t wait to get back there! New Zealand is such a wonderful place that I really hope to be able to move there permanently! And I will never forget the great three months I’ve spent in Crown English, where I had the precious chance to meet people from all over the world, everyone willing to share the same unforgettable experience. I strongly recommend Crown not only because of the friend that surely everyone will meet, but also because of the staff, especially the caring and kind counsellors and the fantastic teachers, which are always ready to help you, and do their job with passion and dedication. Every teacher is different and special, but they’re all great, highly competent and patient. They do their best every day, and I’ll always be grateful for meeting them!

Hi, my name is Seghen, I'm 22 years old and I have been studying in Auckland for 2 months. I am following the 13-week-long CAE session and will take the CAE exam in June. Like many other students, I came here to improve my English skills but also to discover a new country, meet different people from all the continents and share our experiences. But I had no idea of what I will find here and, most important, if I will enjoy my stay. The first few days, I quickly realised that, apart from the amazing location of the school, with its "red-brick-built" buildings and the Auckland's Domain next to it, what really convinced me that I will have a good time here is to see how people enjoyed their own language-learning trip.

The daily activities, the friendly staff and the diversity of nationalities in the school contribute together to that particular atmosphere. The classes are held in a "relaxed/casual" way, so everybody feels free to speak without being afraid of and quickly progresses. In the school's surroundings, there are the Auckland War Memorial Museum to visit, Parnell to explore and Newmarket, where you can shop. From there, many buses drive you to Auckland's city center. For a night out, Queen Street, K'road and Ponsonby are the three main places to go, depends on what you are looking for. Finally, if you want to travel around, in the school's billboard there are many tour propositions to visit the North Island, from the Tongariro National Park up to Cape Reinga, with other famous places in between such as Coromandel, Rotorua and Lake Taupo. I have two months left in Auckland to enjoy, before going travelling around the South Island. And the closer my departure is, the less I want it to happen!

I have been studying English for three months at Crown and I am doing an Intensive English Course. Like every student, I came here to improve my English, but also in order to discover the wonderful landscapes of this particular country. I have made lots of friends who I will never forget and the qualified teachers are always behind my back to encourage me in a good way with a great sense of humour. So I really appreciated this unique experience, which it has been much more than I expected. If I had the opportunity to do a language course again, I would definitely come back to Auckland.

First I have to tell New Zealand exceeded my expectations. 

I do not regret to have chosen Auckland to improve my English. The 
people are very friendly and it has been very easy to adapt to the 
school. On the other hand, the country is amazing; I have seen 
incredible landscapes which I never thought I could see. 

 Definitely one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my life.
