I have spent almost 8 months at ELC in Boston and I highly recommend the school! All the teachers I had were very professional, friendly and paid attention to whatever I had to ask. I have also met students from all over the world. Most of them were from Asia but almost none were French, so it was great for my English! The location of the school is also great because it is in the center of Boston, which is an amazing and gorgeous city! All I can pull out of this experience is positive: I have improved a lot, I have met true friends here and have fallen in love with Boston!

ELC in Boston is really nice, the location of the school is comfortable because it is in the downtown area and it’s easy to get to. I have been studying in the school for almost 9 months and I can appreciate that the teachers I have are well prepared and well organized for class. One thing I liked was the final test every Friday to test if students understood the lessons that were covered during the week. Another thing I like is that ELC is a test center for the Cambridge exams so it gives people a lot of opportunities to take these exams. I also know a lot of new people from all over the world.

ELC has been the best experience for me. It was the first time that I stay a long time in another country, I met a lot of very friendly and very nice people. The first months were difficult sometimes for speaking and understanding but it was better as the months went by. The teachers are really nice and you can really progress with them. All of the activities are interesting.

During these 3 weeks I’ve met a lot of people and I’ve made some nice friends, especially a very nice Korean boy whose name is Sewon. Above all I am very very happy about my English teacher (Matt); he has been very professional, and his lessons have always been interesting and enjoyable. Maybe I will return in the future.

What can I say? Boston is fantastic! You can do and see everything you want. About the teachers… They are amazing! And really, really nice! I hope to come here again!

I had a great time at ELC, I made a lot of friends from all over the world, my English is now very good thanks to the great classes and teachers I have here. The school is very well located, the staff very helpful and friendly and the activities very varied and fun. The host family the school found me was great and we plan to see each other again next year. I spent 12 weeks in a Cambridge CAE course and I’m very satisfied with the knowledge it gave me and with the teachers. Boston is a beautiful city and it’s really nice to live there.

I enjoyed ELC so much because I met a lot of new friends from different countries. I think I improved my English so now I can speak with English people and understand them. My teachers were very good and nice, they were very helpful and they always answered my questions.

On the whole, I must say that I am really satisfied with the course I chose. I started with a 3-month intensive course, which offered a nice balance between studies and leisure. The classes were relaxed, the atmosphere was friendly, I met students from all over the world and I had enough time to participate in great extracurricular activities. Then, I enrolled for a Cambridge course, which was more academic and challenging, but the learning curve was optimum thanks to the competent teachers. Finally, I am really happy about my host family, which was very attentive to my needs and made my stay most enjoyable. I recommend Boston to everyone!

My experience in Boston was amazing: everything was beautiful, from the host family to the school. Since I have arrived here, I feel like at home: everybody is so kind to me. My host mother is a very special person to me, I talked to her a lot especially in the evening, while she was preparing dinner for all the students in the house. I really enjoyed the school because the lessons were very interesting and helped me to improve my English. Teachers explain everything in a very clear way and they are very patient. I’m also lucky I found very good friends there, who came from different countries and with whom I spent a lot of time, especially at weekends. Finally, I recommend the school, the city and my “adventure” to everyone because it’s important to live this experience once in a lifetime!

My experience at ELC was very positive. The staff is very nice and helpful and the teachers are creating a relaxing but still concentrated atmosphere. I like the after school activities and looking forward to the pumpkin carving contest. ;)
Boston is beautiful and perfect for cultural activities but not that convenient for under-aged students because we can’t go out at night; especially when you’re used to that. But I like the school (programme + schedule) a lot and would come again.

I like the time that I spent here. The teachers are pretty good, and everyone was very nice. My host family was very nice and also my house. The activities were a little bit boring but there were an occasion to meet new friends. I like Boston and it’s pretty easy to live here.
