Our partner school in Boston is located on the campus of Lasell College, amongst the tree-lined streets and Victorian buildings of the peaceful Newton district. Southwest of the Charles River, it is only thirty minutes by train to the centre of Boston. You can enjoy all the advantages that a university campus offers and use the numerous facilities, like the cafeteria, the library, the sports centre, the various sports fields and the common rooms. You will also find a computer room, videos, television and VCR to help you in your personal studies. Students are entitled to one hour of free Internet access per week. An animated student social life offers a wide choice of clubs, sports and cultural associations: ideal for practising your English and making new friends amongst the many American students on campus.

Accomodation

Host family
Sharing the daily life and experiences of an American family is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the local lifestyle and to practise your English in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Located on Newton’s residential strip, you will have your own room equipped with a desk for your studies, and share breakfast and dinner with your host family each day.
Residence
For those who desire more independence and the possibility of meeting other students from around the world, our partner school in Boston offers accommodation on the Lasell College campus. The buildings are bright and modern, with facilities such as a library, sports fields and Internet. Staying in a single bedroom with half-board from Monday to Friday, you will share the common areas (1 living room, 1 bathroom and 1 equipped kitchen per group of 4-6 students) with the other students.

Leisure

The days will not be long enough for you to discover all that Boston has to offer. Start off your stay by admiring the superb view from the Skywalk Observatory in the Prudential Centre; or for something a bit different, take a cruise and discover Boston from the water. To learn more about the city’s history, join the guided tours of the Freedom Trail, or admire the works of art that are housed in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, famous the world over. If you love shopping, Harvard Square, Newbury Street and Quincy Market will certainly not disappoint you. Sports fans can take the opportunity to cheer on the Celtics or the Red Sox. The school also offers diverse excursions during the week and on the weekend to discover Newport, Rhode Island, Salem, Vermont and of course… New York City!
