Established since 1992, our partner school occupies the modern premises of La Quinta Inn, and enjoys a convenient location to the east of the city centre. The school has 13 classrooms, a student lounge, a WiFi connection as well as its own residence. You will also find numerous restaurants and shops nearby.

Accommodation

Host family
This accommodation option is ideal for immersing yourself completely in everyday life and for making the most out of everything the "easy going" lifestyle of Florida has to offer. All of the families are carefully selected by our partner school and are situated around 30 minutes by public transport away from the school. You will stay in a single room with half board provided.

Residence
It is also possible to stay on the same grounds as the school. The bedrooms, which offer a welcoming atmosphere, are for double or single use. They each have a private bathroom, air conditioning, a desk, a TV, a telephone (free local calls!) and a WiFi connection. Breakfast is included every morning and you will be able make use of the swimming pool and the jacuzzi of the residence as well as a fitness centre, which you can access using your room key.

Leisure

Our partner school has a great diversity of activities on offer. During an afternoon, take a boat trip in order to discover the breathtaking fauna of the Everglades National Park. More than 36 species which are considered to be endangered are present here, such as the Florida Panther or the American crocodile. Look at the houses of the stars during a boat excursion on the Miami river and, in the lively streets of South Beach, take your turn at being a star by being driven around in a limousine. Thanks to our partner school, Florida will keep no secrets from you. Between catamaran trips, snorkelling, relaxing on the magnificent beaches or a shopping trip to "Sawgrass Mills", the largest shopping centre in the United States, what a programme! Experience American baseball fever by attending professional games or enjoy yourself during concerts and shows. The weekend has also many surprises in store for you...You will be able to visit, for example, Universal Studios, Disney World, Key West, Kennedy Space Centre or go swimming with the dolphins during a crossing to the Bahamas. On a language study stay in Fort Lauderdale, you will be amazed by the richness of Florida!
