Language school Los Angeles, Embassy CES

Our partner school is ideally situated in Long Beach, around 10-15 minutes' walk away from the beach, restaurants, fashionable boutiques and the main attractions of the city. The Embassy CES language school building has 6 comfortable classrooms, a computer and multimedia room, a lounge, an interior courtyard, a roof terrace as well as a WiFi network throughout the building available to students. After your English classes, you will be able to go off, either on your own or with your friends from the school, on the discovery of the area and the centre of Los Angeles, which is easily accessible by public transport.

Host family
In order to allow you to fully immerse yourself in the Californian lifestyle and Amercian culture in general, our partner school proposes staying with a host family. Students are provided with a double or single room and have the use of the common rooms of the house. You will also be provided with half board. Given the size of the city, the host families are located anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes away from the language school.

Our partner school offers accommodation in luxury apartments located in a student residence, just 30 minutes away from the school with public transport. The newly renovated apartments are located in a peaceful neighbourhood, a few minutes’ walk from the beach and numerous attractions. Each apartment includes a fully furnished kitchen and a living room. You will stay in a double room and have the use of a desk, telephone and chairs. The residence provides comfortable amenities and gives access to various facilities, such as a swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness centre, volleyball fields, tennis courts and parking spaces. The residence also includes a room with computers, printers and Internet access, coin-operated laundry facilities as well as a common area with TV and DVD. You will have the opportunity to join the other residents for BBQ parties organised in the grilling area, or for breakfast, in the dining hall of the residence.

Students arriving in Los Angeles know what to expect and are rarely disappointed! So many films have been shot here that we almost have the impression that we’ve known it forever. But don’t worry, it will manage to surprise you... The school offers an extensive program of leisure activities that will allow you to discover all facets of Los Angeles and its surrounds. Santa Monica Bay in the north, for example, will satisfy beach lovers with all the activities it has to offer: walks along the coast, swimming, surfing, diving and fishing. The cliffs of Point Dume are ideal for rock climbing, while Escondido Beach is the best diving site on the bay. According to the season, you can also alternate between the joys of skiing and mountain hiking, or even go whale watching from a platform located at Westward Beach. Surfers will head straight for Zuma, a well known surf spot and also the largest beach open to the public in Los Angeles county.
