I chose to study in Los Angeles as there are lots of places to visit and since I was a child, I've really wanted to go to California. I enjoy going to the swimming pool and to the beach with the other students.

I spent 12 weeks in Los Angeles. I met a lot a people here and I know I can keep in touch with them when I am back in Switzerland. I took part in the activities organised by the school and it was always fun. I chose to take a TOEFL course and I am very satisfied about it. The teachers are great and each lesson is different (grammar, conversation, TOEFL). I think I greatly improved my speaking skills in 12 weeks. All the teachers I had were very attentive and I never got bored in class. Los Angeles is a beautiful city with a mild climate and lots of things to do. I visited the Universal Studios, Hollywood Boulevard, Melrose Avenue, etc. Besides, Los Angeles is close to Las Vegas, San Francisco and Grand Canyon. To conclude, I really enjoyed my stay and I will remember this wonderful experience all my life!

My trip went very well and I can tell you that I significantly improved my English skills! The school, the host family and the other people I had the chance to meet are extraordinary. During this trip, I learn a lot about the city and the country but also about myself. It made me want to do another language study trip next year if I get the chance. I recommend this city to everyone, even for people under 21 years, because there’s plenty of things to do. Thank you for taking the time to organise everything.

When I arrived at LAX, I thought, "Oh my God! Why I'm here? I'm crazy!" But now I don't want to go back in France! Thank you so much! Los Angeles is a crazy, beautiful, amazing city! I want to come back here! I have a new friends! They are Brazilian, Japanese...so good! The school it's very good! Very interesting! When I arrived here, I didn't speak English, now I can understand and speaking with my American family! My family is very good! It was a very good and interesting experience! Thank you so much! In ELC, I spent almost one year, and I have to say I felt very comfortable. I met a lot of people from other countries and fortunately some of them are my friends now. Due to the fact that I took an intensive course, I improved my English skills month after month, but I also avoided people that spoke my native language sometimes. Many teachers were our friends, and I think that it is great when in class there was a good feeling between us. School activities were very fun and they were also a good way to make new friends while discovering the beauties of Los Angeles.

I has have a very good time in LA and by ELC. The school was very helpful and I learned more from the English grammar basics. All staff by ELC was always friendly and helpful. On the weekend I traveled a lot. I went to San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, and went to many other places in LA. After the school I spent much time on the beach in Santa Monica. I was really a great time in LA and by ELC, and I could give a recommendation for ELC everytime.

I am absolutely captivated by this immense city! The people are open-minded and friendly here, the beach is close at hand and there are so many things to see… you can find virtually everything you need here! At the school, you are placed in a class according to your skills in speaking and grammar, and according to your interest in specific English courses - which constitutes a major asset because you get a chance to study with classmates who have the same level as yours. It greatly helped me to improve my language ability. The teachers as well as the administrative staff of the school were very competent, helpful and friendly. Besides, I could improve my general English with my host family too. I can only recommend such a trip to anyone!

Los Angeles is an amazing city! There are so many things to see that you never get bored. The weather is ideal, the school staff as well as the teachers are excellent. My trip was simply great!

The overall quality of teaching is good. I am satisfied about my improvements in the English skill, although my homestay was barely sufficient. There is a dynamic and multicultural ambience at school; it is easy to make new friends.

I had a very good experience at ELC. I could meet a lot of people from different countries, learn about American culture and language. I could visit a lot of different places in California, spend good time with friends, but also at school and with my homestay family. ELC staff is very friendly and helpful. I loved my trip.

It was a good experience. I met a lot of nice people. Americans are very friendly. According to me, Los Angeles is a good city to study because there are plenty of students who can help you. ELC, compared to the other schools where I signed up is a good school in order to study. Teachers are really kind and experienced. To conclude I want to be back maybe in September to improve my English again.
