School

Our partner school, LSI, is situated in Manhattan, in the heart of Soho, near the business district. The language school building is on the campus of the Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY). The school contains 8 spacious and comfortable classrooms from which students have a great view of the city. The school also has a library and 2 computer rooms containing a total of 40 computers with Internet access for students' use. During breaks and after class, students can go to relax and chat with their new friends in the student lounge.

Accommodation

Host family
Our partner school carefully selects host families in New York in order for you to be able to immerse yourself in New York life in a welcoming and motivating atmosphere. You will have the opportunity to practise your English outside of class in authentic daily life situations. You will stay in a single room with either breakfast only or half board provided. The families generally live around 60 minutes away from the language school by public transport.

Residence "YMCA"
The school also offers accommodation at the YMCA residence, which is located in the west of Manhattan and around 30 minutes away from the school itself. Accommodation is in single rooms without meals, the bathroom is shared with other international students and you can make use of the gym, swimming pool, Internet café and restaurant on the first floor.

Leisure

Everything you do and see in New York is an event in itself and every moment of your experience will enrich your learning of English. Our partner school’s activities coordinator organises several excursions per week, including a visit to the television studios, an outing to the jazz clubs of Harlem, a baseball match, discovery of the city's boroughs, lunch or dinner in a restaurant and museum tours. The discovery of the city and its inhabitants is an excellent way to practise your new language skills acquired in class. The school will also help you to organise weekend excursions to places such as Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia or even Niagara Falls.
