The EC school in San Diego is located in the lively district of "La Jolla", on the very fashionable Prospect Street, where you'll find architecture which is a mixture between Spanish classicism and eccentric modernism. The school's excellent location offers students easy access to the numerous restaurants, cafés, bars and shops nearby as well as a panoramic view out over the Pacific Ocean. The language school building has 22 modern and bright classrooms with audiovisual equipment, and several posts where students can access the Internet for free. You will also be able to borrow books from the school library in order to improve your reading comprehension. During breaks and after classes, you can meet up with your new friends in the common area designated for students within the school.

Accomodation

Host family
Discover the American way of life by choosing to stay with a host family in San Diego. It is a bonus to your learning as you have the opportunity to speak English outside of class too. You will have your own room, and if you are travelling with a friend, you can share a double room on request. For your meals, you have the choice of having breakfast only included or to opt for half board. The host families, carefully selected by EC, generally live around 20-50 minutes away from the school by bus.
Shared apartments – Costa Verde Village (from 18 years)
If you enjoy being independent, you will most likely prefer to stay in a shared apartment of the EC residence. In this way, you will live with other students in a two-bedroomed apartment which can accomodate up to a maximum of 4 students. Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen, a TV and a telephone as well as a balcony or a patio. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Within the residence, you will have access to numerous facilities such as a wide-screen TV, a tennis court, a basketball court, a computer room, a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, a gym, barbecue equipment and parking spaces.

Leisure

Our partner school, EC San Diego, offers a wide choice of cultural and sports activities which allows students to put into practice the English they have learned in class in an authentic context. San Diego's location is ideal for outdoor sports and all water activities. Our partner school will offer you a live impressive spectacle of whale-watching, a visit to the Zoo, surfing classes and weekend excursions to such places as San Francisco, Hollywood and even Las Vegas. Close by, students can also spend the day in one of the amusement parks, the best-known of which is Disneyland, or simply go for a walk through the nature preserves of San Diego.
