School

Our BLS language school in Bordeaux is situated at the heart of the Gironde capital, in one of the most animated and chic areas of the city. The language school occupies an historic 19th century building. It is the ideal place to learn French under optimal conditions. This language school has 15 bright, air-conditioned classrooms, a study room with computers connected to the Internet, a WiFi network and, for when you wish to relax after your French lessons, there is a lounge which opens out on to an interior garden. Teaching takes place in small groups of 10 to 12 people. The school enjoys a relaxed, international atmosphere.

Standard course

French course, culture & cuisine
Lessons: complementary to standard course, 3 excursions per week (French cuisine course, city visit with an art history teacher, wine and cheese tasting at Baud et Millet or a meal in a restaurant)

French course and wines of Bordeaux
Lessons: complementary to standard course, 3 afternoons of classes on Bordeaux wines and wine tasting, 2 afternoons of castle visits.
Knowledge test and awarding of "Dégustateur" certificate at the end of the course.

Accommodation

Host family
The families are carefully selected by the school and generally live around 25 minutes by bus away from the language school building. They welcome students in single rooms with half board during the week and full board at weekends provided. This accommodation option is ideal for getting a taste of French hospitality, for immersing yourself in the culture and for practising the language in an authentic environment.

Leisure

Bordeaux, city of culture, students, gastronomy and wines, will not allow you to get bored. Its numerous museums, theatres, restaurants, bars and discos provide you with ample opportunities to go out and enjoy yourself with your friends. If you feel like getting away for a bit, the countless beaches running alongside the Atlantic Ocean, the pine forests and the numerous typical villages of the region await you with open arms. For wine lovers, a visit to Saint-Emilion is a must in order to taste high quality vintages.
