Located between the Saône and Rhône Rivers, in the centre of Lyon, our school is housed in a beautiful 19th century building at the heart of the cultural and festive centre of the city. The school consists of 8 classrooms, all spacious and brightly lit, a cafeteria, a WI-FI (wireless) internet connection to enable you to access your emails and surf the Internet for free, and a resource library at your disposal to help you better discover the French culture. It is situated just near the Place Bellecour, where the student population of Lyon congregates. Straight after class you can enjoy the youthful and vibrant atmosphere offered by the popular cafes and restaurants of the area.

Accomodation

Host Family
Being immersed in the culture of a country is without doubt one of the best ways to learn a language. Living with a host family will enable you to discover the Lyonnaise way of life, their customs and cuisine, from the inside, a truly enriching experience. It is also an opportunity to practice your French on a daily basis and in an authentic context. The families are chosen with care and know the school well. Located between 5 and 30 minutes from the school, you can choose either a single or double room, with breakfast or breakfast and dinner provided daily.
Shared apartment “Le Loft” (from 18 years)
For students who wish to have more independence, our partner school offers accommodation in a loft-style apartment. Five minutes from the main train station Pardieu, with a surface area of 200m2 and occupying the top floor of a small building, the loft has 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and open, located below the mezzanine level and opening onto a large lounge room. A washing machine is provided and it is only about 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by public transport to reach the school and the centre of historic Lyon.

If you want to make the most of your free time, Lyon is the ideal city: shops, cinemas, exhibitions, concerts, sports centres, bars, restaurants, nightclubs… so many possibilities for going out with friends, walking around the town or partying. This rich variety means that there is something to suit all tastes and budgets. Those who love old buildings will be delighted by the 2000-year-old history of Lugdunum, the Roman name for Lyon, and food lovers will be spoilt for choice. The hinterland and the Lyonnaise countryside are worth the detour. Enjoy the walks, take a bike ride or taste the latest vintages from the Beaujolais region. Its closeness to the Mediterranean, Paris and Geneva makes Lyon an ideal destination for studying French, and you will no doubt be seduced by its beauty, rich culture and festive atmosphere.
