ESL is situated on the main street of Montreux, which runs alongside the banks of Lake Geneva and its beautiful promenade lined with exotic trees. The school is easily accessed by bus or by train, with the stations situated only a few minutes away by foot. Within direct proximity of the school, you will be able to meet up with other students in different bars and restaurants. The language school building contains 12 comfortable and bright classrooms, a cafeteria and a terrace. Thanks to several computers and a WiFi network covering the whole school, you will be able to access the Internet and your e-mails for free. The teachers and the staff of the school provide a personalised service and assist you from the moment you arrive and throughout the duration of your stay.

Host family
This accommodation option is ideal for those who wish to immerse themselves in the culture of French-speaking Switzerland and to forge links with the inhabitants. The families are carefully selected and know the school well.  Living an average of 30 minutes away from the school, you will stay in a double or single room, with half board provided. Living with a host family in French-speaking Switzerland will allow you to discover the lifestyle of its inhabitants, its traditions, its culinary habits and to have a very enriching experience.. It’s also a chance to practise your French daily in a friendly environment,  allowing you to make rapid progress.

Shared apartments (from 18 years)
For those who wish to share with other international students, the school proposes the option of a shared apartment. Living around 10-20 minutes away from the school, you will stay in a double or single room and will share the common rooms with your flatmates. The apartments are bright, comfortable and have excellent facilities, including a TV, equipped kitchen, a washing machine and a WiFi connection. This accommodation option is advantageous from a financial point of view and is an excellent opportunity to make new friends.

The leisure activities programme is based around places of interest in the region and social events. Students will have the chance to get to know each other better and practise French outside the classroom during the outings and excursions organised by the school. Sporting activities are organised in summer and winter alike. Thanks to its geographical location, between a lake and mountains, Montreux is less than an hour from the Alps. Numerous ski resorts offer excellent conditions for fans of snowboarding and skiing, as well as extraordinary scenery for nature-lovers. During the month of July, Montreux is home to the famous Jazz Festival that gives the town a lively rhythm. Add to this event the numerous exhibitions and noteworthy cultural events in Montreux and the surrounding areas of Vevey, Lausanne and Geneva.
