The school is located in the centre of Freiburg, in a beautiful three-storey neoclassical-style house. It is part of the International House language school network, an organisation represented in over 40 countries, whose main goal is to guarantee the highest standards in language teaching. It is a medium-sized school with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The school has 13 classrooms, a study room, a computer room with Internet and WiFi access, a cafeteria, a large terrace and parking.

Host family
Staying with a host family is the best way to learn common expressions, to improve your everyday German and to immerse yourself in the country's culture. Students stay in single rooms with half board provided around 30 minutes away from the school.

Residence
The residence is located in a building with 8 storeys only 10 minutes by tram away from the city centre. It welcomes international students as well as German university students, which favours the meeting of students and practising the language. Each student has a single room with a private bathroom and can use the common equipped kitchen available on each floor.

Shared apartment
Only 10 minutes' walking distance away from the school, 2-3 students share an apartment and enjoy complete independence in a friendly environment. Accommodation is in single rooms. It is also possible to book a double room for two students travelling together.

International House organizes social activities, film screenings and a weekly traditional “Stammitsch”, where teachers and students visit a pub and have a drink, allowing you to practise your German in a natural and relaxed way. The school’s activities service will guide you through all the sporting and cultural activities the city has to offer. Every week, you will be invited to take part in excursions to Freiburg’s surroundings (e.g.  The Black Forest, Colmar or Strasbourg).
