Our partner school enjoys an exceptional location. It is situated at the heart of the city centre near the University, 10 minutes' walk away from the train station and 5 minutes away from the most important shopping street as well as the famous market square. The school has 8 spacious and bright classrooms, a computer room with free Internet access and a library where you can find German and foreign literary works. The students also have access to an individual study area and, in order to relax during breaks or after classes, they will have the use of a cafeteria and a large terrace.

Accommodation

Host family
In order to speak the German that you will have learned during your classes, there's nothing better than total immersion. For this reason, staying with a host family represents the best way to make rapid progress.
Situated between 15 and 25 minutes away from the school (by tram or by bus), the families offer you a single room and you will share the rest of the common areas of the house with the members of the family. You will have the choice between having breakfast only, half board or full board provided, according to your needs.

Residence (from 18 years)
The residence is located in a building with 8 storeys only 10 minutes by tram away from the city centre. It welcomes international students as well as German university students, which favours the meeting of students and practising the language. Each student has a single room with a private bathroom and can use the common equipped kitchen available on each floor.

Shared apartment (from 18 years)
Our partner school additionally offers students the possibility of staying in a WG (Wohngemeinschaft). This accommodation option is very popular in Germany.
The students will have a single furnished room, living with either a person living on their own, a couple or in an apartment with other students (in the latter case, there is limited availability and is available rather during the period of university holidays). They will share the bathroom and kitchen with their flatmates. Price on request.

Leisure

The school proposes numerous activities and outings in order that the students may discover Freiburg, of course, but also its surroundings. You will discover the historical heritage of Freiburg and the magnificent region of the Black Forest. The city also distinguishes itself by the numerous cultural events that take place throughout the year. An excursion to « Europa Park » is also planned. And to let off steam, there are plenty of sports for you to enjoy, including football, volleyball, rollerblading in summer, taboganning, ice-skating and ski in winter. In addition, the city has excellent cycle tracks, The school also organises cinema evenings and "international cuisine" as well as barbecues during the summer.
