School

Our partner school is ideally situated in the very centre of Munich, only a stone's throw away from the historical and strategic landmarks of the city like the Marienplatz, the Karlsplatz and the Sendlinger Tor. The school is situated in a superb building, built in 1688, in which one of the greatest German poets, Heinrich Heine, lived for some time. Recently renovated, the school has 8 classrooms, a cafeteria, a computer room with free Internet and WiFi access and a library. There is also a large garden, where students can relax and enjoy the particularly pleasant environment that Munich has to offer for studying German.

Standard course
Lessons: 20 of 45 minutes
Course duration: 2 to 48 weeks
Levels: Beginner to advanced
Students/class: max. 10 people (12 in summer)

Daily schedule: 09:30–13:00 (or 14:30-18:00 in summer)

Intensive course
Lessons: 25 of 45 minutes
Daily schedule: 09:30–14:00 (or 13:15-18:00 in summer)

Accommodation

Host family
The families are situated around a half an hour away from the school and receive students in a single room with half board provided. They are carefully selected by our partner school in order to offer students an environment in which they can put into practice their language knowledge in a friendly atmosphere.

Student apartment (from 18 years)
BWS also proposes shared accommodation. Staying in a double room, you will share the common rooms of the apartment (kitchen, living room, bathroom) with 3 to 5 other international students or locals.
 

Leisure

Three social activities are organised each week, allowing participants to discover the city and to form friendships within the group. Outings, parties, themed nights and excursions are on the programme, as well as tours of the city’s main places of interest. Those who love nature will enjoy the magnificent countryside just outside of Munich that also offers many possibilities for sports enthusiasts. In the city, the cultural calendar is always lively, with numerous shows, fairs and exhibitions taking place all year round.
