School

The school is located at the heart of the town, in an historical 19th century building, only 10 minutes away from the famous Piazza del Campo. Its terrace offers a splendid view over Naxos Bay and Mount Etna as well as over the town of Taormina. The classes (in small groups or one-to-one) take place in air-conditioned classrooms. The school offers free Internet and WiFi access and a large study room with a library, TV and audio-visual material. During breaks and after classes, students can go to relax and chat with their new friends in the student lounge. The learning of the language is based around oral and written expression. One of the assets of the school is that it offers optional themed classes, such as courses on cuisine & gastronomy, Sicilian arts and sports, which are run in parallel with the language courses.

Optional courses
The Babilonia school proposes various optional courses: Sicilian ceramics and arts, diving, golf, "casalinga" cuisine, wine tasting, Business Italian, etc. These courses are optional and are to be booked in addition to a group course if desired.

Accommodation

Host family
Students are provided with a single room with breakfast, half board or full board provided. It's the ideal option for those who wish to immerse themselves in the Sicilian culture from the beginning to the end of their stay!

Apartment (from 18 years)
There are several apartments (shared or private) available in the town of Taormina. In the shared apartments, there is a kitchen and a bathroom to be shared by the students and the bedrooms are single rooms (or double for two people travelling together).

Leisure

The school offers many extra-curricular activities that will allow you to meet other students. The programme includes film screenings, games and seminars (Italian literature, Sicilian culture, etc.) Every weekend and some afternoons, excursions are organized to places that only locals know, away from the tourist flow. You will also be invited to socio-cultural activities such as dinners, concerts and plays. The city has a golf centre, tennis courts and fitness centres. If you want to go shopping, you will enjoy discounts with the student card that the school will give you on arrival.
