The souls of the first colonists still roam about Victoria, where a touch of the British Empire rubs shoulders with the North American way of life. Located in the extreme south of the island of Vancouver, this city of over 300,000 inhabitants is the capital of British Columbia, as well as one of Canada’s most beautiful cities. It is a small but undeniably dynamic town. Most of the time, visitors love to stroll around the port, a real landmark around which the rest of the city was built. It’s also good to know that two bigger cities, Vancouver or Seattle in the USA, are only a ferry trip away.
