A multifaceted country, so vast and diverse that it is almost impenetrable… Fall in love with India and its amazing profusion of flavours, cultures and breathtaking landscapes! More about study in India
On a territory as large as a continent, the former jewel of the British Empire is home to over 1.2 billion inhabitants. It is, after China, the second most populated country in the world, and also the world’s largest democracy thanks to its British-style parliamentary system.

India is a country of excesses, a fascinating mixture of medieval and modern times. Imposing, majestic elephants remind us of the maharajas’ luxurious existences, with their magnificent palaces being in striking contrast to the most working-class districts. But at the same time, India has demonstrated its technological expertise by launching nine operational geostationary satellites into space and its BRICS status confirms its position as one the leading economic powers of tomorrow.

With huge growth potential and exceptional human and natural resources, India is also the cradle of the biggest film industry in the world, Bollywood. The Indian constitution recognizes 23 official languages along with a vast number of regional languages and dialects – nearly 4000 different languages! – and religions, whether major or minor, as well as the most diverse cultures are present in India.

Travelling across India is like going back several centuries. On the way, you will admire the stunning beauty of the Taj Mahal and be charmed by the dense tropical jungles of Kerala, the majestic Himalayan mountains, the beautiful beaches stretching for miles, the rice fields, animal reserves, tea plantations, revered temples and mosques, sacred rivers, and so many other things...

But above all, India will delight all your senses: the flashy colours of women’s saris or men’s turbans will dazzle you, and only by tasting the most refined curries and the most succulent tandoori chickens will you get a real feel for Indian culture. Last but not least, the honeyed tones of the sitar and tablas will send you into raptures!

On leaving India, you will have one and only project: going back there! Return to introduction...
