Learn Italian in Salerno, Italy

Salerno
Situated on the Gulf of Salerno, facing the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, this city is a place of deeply-rooted history and traditions. It is home to the oldest university in Europe, but one sees that its 40,000 students make it resolutely modern. The medieval city centre is preserved and it is a pleasant place to visit throughout the year, with its café terraces in its colourful squares where you can sit outside and enjoy the sun. You will walk along its winding small streets which lead up to a magnificent Roman cathedral. You will have contact with the inhabitants who will show you the real Italian art de vivre: dolce vita and carpe diem. Salerno is the main city of the majestic Amalfi Coast. You will therefore be able to visit Amalfi and its maze of medieval streets, the extraordinary Pompeii and of course, the lovely beaches of fine sand which line the coast. By travelling a bit further north, you will find Naples, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. A city of generous spirit, it also opens up the route to the great volcanoes, from Vesuvius near Naples to Mount Etna in Sicily to Stromboli on the Aeolian Islands. Our language school is located in Salerno and it is the best starting place to head off on a discovery of the south of Italy which is really worth a visit. You will go on a language study trip to learn Italian in a place of tranquility, culture and encounters. Unforgettable!
