More about study in Verona
Economically dynamic with its numerous upmarket shops and businesses, Verona has yet retained its charm of long ago and its historical buildings. Just take a stroll in its picturesque lanes and you will find yourself back in medieval Verona. From its glorious past, Verona has kept a number of
osterie which are lined up along the banks of the river Adige, in the very heart of the city. In these small bars, you can taste excellent Italian wines in friendly and typically Italian surroundings, just as the merchants who sailed on the river used to do. During your stay, you won’t miss the huge Roman amphitheatre, located in the historical centre. Each year, it is the venue for the Verona International festival and world famous operas are performed there, sometimes along with concerts and ballets. And like any prestigious Italian town, Verona offers, of course, gastronomic delights that will pamper your taste buds, as well as a lot of trendy ready-to-wear shops.
Along the river Adige and at the foot of the Lessini mountains, the city of Verona is only a thirty minutes’ journey by train away from the Lake of Garda. Its location, at the junction of the most important cities of Northern Italy, is exceptional. A two hours’ journey will take you to Florence, Milan, Genoa, Bologna or Venice!
