The origins of Moscow as a symbol of Russian spiritual and political power go back over 800 years. It is therefore not surprising if today this city is the indicator, as well as the source, of the numerous changes that have taken place in Russia in recent years. The city’s overwhelming energy and size - Moscow is Europe’s largest city with more than 13 million inhabitants– are a direct consequence of the fall of communism and the efforts made by its people to reinvent their lives. Nowhere in contemporary Russia are contrasts so visible: ancient monasteries alongside ultramodern buildings when the new millionaires in limousines overtake old Lada cars from the communist era. Moscow is also a city where different cultures converge. Moscow already has in its architecture as in its population that bewitching oriental colour, testimony to its status as capital city, and a sign of the major crossroads between West and East. Finally, from the "Gaz Golder" to the "Mix" passing by the "Ogui" or the gardens of the MGU, Moscow is a city which never sleeps, where you will simply find everything and everything seems possible.
