Take a Mandarin course at our partner school in Beijing and you may sense the presence of a Qing dynasty princess who once lived in this traditional little palace long ago. You will feel honoured to have your lessons in this traditional historic Chinese building with modern facilities located in the heart of Beijing. Just a few minutes’ walk away is the oldest area of the city and the Forbidden City. Shops, tube stations and taxis are all nearby. Lessons take place in 4 well-equipped classrooms and the small study room has computers and free Wi-Fi access for students’ use. The course centre also includes a library. Free tea and coffee are provided in the classrooms and there are lots of restaurants nearby serving tasty and cheap food for lunch or after class.

Apartment/studio
Our partner school provides basic and reasonably priced apartment and studio accommodation. The accommodation includes a single bedroom, a small lounge and a kitchen area. Cleaning is included in the price and sheets and towels are provided.

The school shares its building with a cosy little hotel and many students are very happy with this on-site accommodation. The school also provides accommodation in 2*, 3* and 4* hotels located close to the course centre. The quality depends on the type of establishment.

Our Beijing partner school arranges guided tours of historic sites, of the Forbidden City and the Olympic village, every Wednesday and either Saturday or Sunday. You can also sample traditional Chinese tea or watch an opera. Tai Chi, calligraphy or general cultural traditions – the school will show you some aspects of China’s age-old culture for you to gain a real insight into the country. There are also excursions to visit the Great Wall of China and the surrounding countryside. Then it’s up to you to explore the exciting and surprising city for yourself!
