The International House school has two course centres: East and West. The East campus is located in the district of Laoshan, 15 minutes from Qingdao city centre. Magnificent beaches await the students only 5 minutes away from the course centre. And in the school, you will find air-conditioned and well-equipped classrooms, a kitchen, Internet access and a spacious student lounge with a view of the sea. The West campus, which shares its premises with the University of Qingdao, offers an ideal study setting. Spacious classrooms, broadband Internet access and a restaurant are amongst the facilities available to students. Between classes, basketball and tennis matches on the courts foreseen for this purpose are on the agenda as well as relaxation in the gardens of the school. This is also the opportunity to meet local university students. A shuttle bus service brings you into the city centre which is located only 5 minutes away from the course centre.

Residence
In Qingdao, you will have the opportunity to stay in a residence on the school grounds. Accommodation is in a single room and the bathroom is situated along the corridor (option with private bathroom is also available). The bedrooms are well-equipped (fridge, TV, Internet access). On request, if you are two people travelling together, it is possible to take a double room.

The city has a range of historical treasures for you to explore (churches, buildings, parks, etc.) Once you finish the city tour, you will be glad to walk on the sand of one of the six beaches that the city has to offer. Mount Laoshan, birthplace of Taoism, is only 40km away. You will discover this marvellous landscape of over 400km2 travelling on a telpher railway that will lead you to its temples and waterfalls. You can also see with your own eyes China’s most spectacular monument: the Great Wall.
