Situated at the very heart of the city and easily reached by public transport, the Bridgelinguatec school in Rio de Janeiro offers optimal conditions for learning Portuguese. Our partner school has 10 spacious and air-conditioned classrooms and offers free Internet access in the computer room or with WiFi. In order to deepen your knowledge of Brazilian culture, you will be able to borrow books or DVDs. For relaxing, there is a welcoming café situated only a stone’s throw away from the school. You will be able to enjoy one of the famous Brazilian coffees there whilst making new friends.

Accommodation

Host family
There are a thousand and one ways of assimilating the culture of a country and certainly one of the most enriching of these is staying with a host family. Our partner school carefully selects families so that you will feel as much at ease as possible. In principal, you will have your own room and will have to share the bathroom with your host family. You will have half-board and will be able to do your laundry once a week. However, if you so wish, you will be able to share your bedroom with a friend (in which case, the booking must be made for the two people at the same time). The families are located around 25 - 45 minutes away from the school by public transport.

They will also offer you the possibility of taking part in magnificent excursions. You will be able to be at one with nature by going to visit the Botanical Garden or the Sugar Loaf Mountain with its splendid view over the beaches and the ocean. You will also be able to go up to see the headland bearing the Christ the Redeemer statue, the internationally-known symbol of the city. If you like art, you will not be disappointed with your visit to the Modern Art Museum. And then, how can you speak about Brazil, how can you visit Rio without calling to mind the samba and partying. To be consumed without moderation!
