Our partner school is located on a peaceful street in the heart of Barcelona. Large classrooms, a spacious common room and a beautiful terrace make it an ideal place to learn Spanish. The school is on the first floor of a building typical of the “Eixample” district, designed by Ildefons Cerdä from 1859, in an architectural style typical of Catalan Modernism (1888 – 1926), which was introduced by Gaudi. High ceilings, French windows and original mosaic floors… you will be studying in the magical ambiance of this decor! Next door to the outdoor terrace, you will find a place where you can have a coffee and a sandwich, surf the Internet and chat with other students.

Accomodation

Host Family
Being immersed in the culture of a country is without doubt one of the best ways to learn the language. Living with a Spanish family will allow you to get to know the way of life of the locals, their customs and cuisine, and to enjoy a really enriching experience. It’s also an opportunity to practise the Spanish language on a daily basis and in an authentic context, putting into practise what you have learned in class. Host families are chosen with care and know the school well. Located no more than 30 minutes from the school, you will have your own room and breakfast and dinner provided daily.
Shared Apartments
For more independent students, our partner school offers you the option of staying in an apartment (located a maximum of 30 minutes from the school). There, you will have your own room and share the daily housework and the common areas. Staying in an apartment is a good option financially, and it is also an excellent way to make new friends and to share with them the unique experience of your stay in Barcelona.

Leisure

Imagine yourself on the Costa Brava, gazing at the Mediterranean and enjoying a refreshing drink, after having climbed one of the lofty towers of the Sagrada Familia… As well as the tempting program of activities proposed by the school (evenings at the beach, Spanish films, salsa dance lessons, nights out for paella, cavas and tapas, wine tasting and excursions), in Barcelona you have “at your doorstep”: the sea, if you want to go sailing, and the mountains for hiking or skiing in the winter-time. The magic of Gaudi awaits you just near the school, via the passeig de Gràcia, numbers 35, 37, 39, 41, 43 and 92, among others, and of course there is always the option of going out at night to an open-air disco, after an aperitif by the harbour! The capital city of nightlife, the birthplace of modern architecture, and a dream destination for the most romantic strolls… Barcelona! Can you imagine a better place to learn Spanish?
