Just like the island where it is located, our partner school is small, welcoming and peaceful. In this course centre founded by Swedish people, the teachers use a revolutionary method based on the latest discoveries in language teaching: “brain friendly” learning methods reflect the philosophy of this exceptional course centre. Instead of workbooks and tedious readings, the lessons rather use videos and focus on conversation – which makes for fun and, above all, effective learning since the students learn around 150 new Thai words per week.

Accredited by the Thai Ministry of Education, the school enjoys an excellent reputation and the dedication of its teachers is the main asset of its learning programme. It occupies four floors of a small traditional building located 100 meters from the Phra Ae beach and there are a plethora of rental rooms, bungalows and hotels to choose from close by. The six large and light classrooms are equipped with video projectors. In the reception area, you will find friendly people to answer all your questions and in the cafeteria, you can order simple meals and drinks at any time. The library will provide you with books and DVDs/CDs featuring Thai music and films. Internet access is free every day of the week, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Dreamy Casa Villa/Bungalow
150 meters from the Long Beach, right next to the school, you will be staying in a private villa in a wonderful setting. All the bungalows are air-conditioned and include a large bed or two twin beds, a telephone, cable TV, a minibar, Wi-Fi Internet access and a private bathroom. The level of comfort is in keeping with local standards.
Given the large number of accommodation options of all standards on the island, we recommend you to book a Dreamy Casa bungalow for the first week(s). Then, once on-site, you can either choose another type of accommodation for the rest of your stay according to your personal preferences or else extend your initial booking.

The school organises varied activities, some of which are free while others are offered at advantageous prices. They will take you on excursions to admire a hot waterfall on the nearby continent, to the Phi Phi islands or to Phuket, where the hustle and bustle of the city provides a nice change of scenery from peaceful Koh Lanta Yai. For shopaholics, an excursion to Bangkok is also included in the programme. Halfway through the road linking the north and the south of the island, the Mai Keaw cave system uncovers an impressively large number of caverns hosting spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. With the other international students, you can even swim in subterranean small lakes, some of which are located in cathedral-sized caves…
On the beach close to the course centre, lying in the sun and swimming in warm water naturally fits in with your schedule. But you can also play football and volleyball or go jogging on the white sand. Every Monday and Thursday, volleyball training will prepare you for the weekly match that takes place every Sunday. The school also offers cultural workshops, festivals and Thai cooking lessons – using fresh local produce, the latter constitute an unforgettable experience!
