Our partner school was the first school, in 1997, to teach Turkish to foreigners in Istanbul. Strong with this lengthy experience and endowed with qualified teachers, the institution gives its communication-based courses with the aid of the material especially designed for this method. The teachers commit themselves so that the students, from the first lesson onwards, are immersed in the Turkish language and feel capable of interacting quickly in this language. Situated in Levent, the business district on the European continent, close to the great historical sites, the Turkish Centre language school has spacious classrooms, a language lab, a library and a cafeteria. The studious but relaxed environment of this school in the centre of Istanbul will motivate you to learn Turkish, taught here in the best conditions. All of the teachers have a university title. Internet access is free.

Accommodation

Host family
Our partner school proposes to accommodate you with a family of inhabitants of Istanbul, which will allow you to familiarise yourself with life in this city. You will have a single room with a desk or table and will benefit from half board or breakfast only. The bathroom and common rooms are to be shared with the host family. Bedlinen is provided, but not towels. The host families are chosen carefully and visited regularly by our partner school. Most of them live at a distance of 30 to 40 minutes by public transport from the course centre.

Leisure

During your stay in Istanbul, you will quickly note that there is no shortage of attractions ! You will therefore be able to discover at your leisure, during your free time, the monuments, museums and historical or religious sites which give this city its reputation. Immerse yourself in the extraordinary geographic duality of Istanbul by contemplating the Bosphorus Bridge, a metallic suspension structure of 1.5km which links the two parts – European and Asian – of this city. You will manage to find your bearings in Istanbul quite easily, thanks to the visual landmarks, whether built or natural. The school will propose a programme which includes evening outings and activities as well as one excursion per week to a place of interest in the surroudings of the city, like a boat excursion on the Bosphorus.
