School

Well-being and language skills come together in a fantastic location!

Located in the very heart of lively Edinburgh, the EAC language school is based in a stunning Georgian style building in one of the city’s most beautiful areas. It includes 14 classrooms spread over three floors and a large lounge area where you can read, relax or watch the large screen TV. Lots of books and magazines are available in the library for students to borrow along with hot and cold drinks. There is also a well-equipped computer room (internet ready computers, CDs, CD-ROMs), free Wi-Fi access throughout the building and an executive lounge to study in peace and quiet. The school is surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants and cafés which is perfect for you to get a taste of local life without having to stray too far from the language centre.

The EAC school’s skills and expertise will be demonstrated as soon as you arrive. You will already have taken the preliminary test to assess your level of English and on the first day you will have a conversation with a member of the teaching staff to assess your specific requirements. These measures guarantee a productive language stay and fast progress, and you will gain confidence in your skills in the shortest possible time.

EAC’s teaching staff is committed to developing your English comprehension and expression skills. The teachers work hard to help you spot your errors and speak fluently with confidence. The teacher’s skills and commitment go hand in hand with their desire to see the students reach a high language level in their field as quickly as possible.

If you choose a One to One Course, you will benefit from having a teaching plan that has been tailor-made to suit you. The teaching will focus purely on specific skills that you need to develop and thus you will improve at a fast rate.

During lesson time the teachers use specially developed books on various topics as well as specialist newspapers, websites and other materials.
