School

St Giles London Highgate is in a beautiful Victorian villa, surrounded by more greenery than you would expect so close to Central London. The lush gardens provide a perfect backdrop for contemplation, relaxation and study.

There are 24 well-equipped classrooms, a large library, a language lab and a multimedia room with free Internet access. The atmosphere is highly international, reflecting the strong worldwide reputation of St Giles. The school balances a focused learning environment with a great social calendar, for those with enough energy after a long day of study!

The St Giles Educational Trust is a registered charity and was established in 1970 to raise standards in the ELT profession through its teacher training and research programmes. The Trust runs the Central London ELT library, a multimedia resource centre and library open to all members of the ELT profession, including trainee teachers. Way back in 1955, St Giles started out as a teacher training organisation and this remains one of their key services today.

Testimonial

Talia Lash I really enjoyed my course at St Giles. The four weeks were very intense, but the support and guidance from the Teacher Trainers was excellent throughout, and by the end of the course I really felt I’d learnt a lot. I’d never taught before so I was quite nervous at first, but the course gave me the knowledge and teaching techniques I needed to build my confidence. I was really happy to be offered a job at the end of my course.
