Language school Shanghai, Mandarin House

Our partner school is ideally situated at the very heart of the city centre, near to the pedestrian Nanjing Road. There are restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. The school has a qualified, plurilingual staff. There are 22 classrooms and the school has good multimedia equipment and Internet and WiFi access for students' use.

Shared apartment
Our partner school proposes sharing with other international students around 5 minutes away from the language school. The apartments are modern, cleaned every week and are well-equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, bedlined and bath towels, air-conditioning/heating a TV and telephone. You will have your own bedroom and will share the common rooms with your flatmates.

Private apartment/studio
Students who wish to be totally independent where they are living will be able to stay in a private apartment or studio. These offer the same benefits and the same comfort as shared apartments, except that they are for private use.

Host family
In spite of the limited number of places, the option of staying with a host family exists. Living around 50 minutes away from the school, you will have a single room with half board provided, will share the bathroom with your host family and will have access to the kitchen. This type of accommodation will allow you to get close to the Chinese way of life and will give you the unrivalled opportunity to practise your Chinese to the maximum with native speakers.

Fans of gardens and lotus flowers will appreciate the “Yu Yuan” garden,  its bridges and red pagodas surrounding tranquil ponds, or the merchant’s gallery, its roofs adorned with dragons, a symbol of good fortune. There are a number of large art galleries, each as beautiful as the next. So you love history, legends and architecture? Then visit the “Jade Buddha Temple”, the city’s most venerated Buddhist temple. For gifts and souvenirs, don’t miss the “Yuyuan Gardens Bazaar”. And if you want to buy something really special for yourself, take a helicopter flight or a cruise on the Huangpu River. Whatever activities you choose, you will plunge partly, deeply, passionately into the great history of the city and the country.
