Our partner school, established since 1993, is situated at the very heart of the city centre. The building has been especially designed to welcome a large number of students and offers modern facilities, bright and spacious classrooms equipped with quality audiovisual materials. During your stay you have access to a large library and a multimedia room in order to facilitate further language learning. During the high season, extra classrooms are made available. The school is recognised for its competent team of teachers coming from different backgrounds as well as for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Finally, there is a rooftop terrace where students can go during their breaks and after class to relax and chat with their new friends whilst taking in the magnificent view over the famous Galway Bay and Galway city itself.

The long-term programmes (min. 12 weeks) proposed by our partner school, Atlantic Language Galway, are particularly advantageous from a financial point of view and are flexible. The students have the possibility to start courses each Monday and to take either an optional Business programme or a preparation course for the Cambridge (FCE, CAE) exams.

Accommodation

Host family
Full immersion in the local culture is the best way to learn a language. Staying with an Irish family means sharing in the lifestyle of a new culture on a daily basis and having an unforgettable experience. The families are chosen with care and know the school well. Students stay in a single room and benefit from half board during the week and full board at weekends.

Shared apartment (from 18 years)
Providing students with the freedom to cater for themselves, all the school apartments are an ideal option for those who wish to live with other international students close to the city centre. They are comfortably furnished and equipped to meet students’ needs including a shared kitchen, a living room as well as a washing machine and free Wi-Fi connection. Each of the apartments accommodates between 2 and 8 students with the choice of a single bed, a double bed or twin bedded rooms. The school’s Accommodation Services co-ordinates the mix of students staying in each apartment to provide as much of a nationality variety as possible.

Leisure

The school organises activities in order that students may discover Galway and its surroundings. Outings to concerts or pubs are organised to allow you to discover the traditional and popular music of Ireland. The school also offers a range of sports, such as golf, fishing, tennis, sailing, horse riding, walking… all ideal for meeting other students and getting to know the country. If you have a free weekend, don't miss out on the Aran Islands! For sports, the school gives you access to the city's university sports centre offering a wide range of sports activities like, for example, swimming, walking and even yoga.
