Our partner school ISI is located on the foundations of the venerable St. Mary's Abbey, built in 1139, in the heart itself of old Dublin. The course centre building is also an historical building, as it dates from the 18th century and was used, in its time, as a merchandise warehouse in the very centre of Dublin city. Completely transformed, combining very well past and present, it hides today behind its original walls of unconcealed stones a modern pedagogical infrastructure and an interior which has been innovatively converted. The 11 classrooms are spacious and comfortable and a cafeteria makes available drinks and snacks to students at all times, during the morning break, drinks and snacks are even free! You will be able to meet your friends there and exchange - in English, of course - your impressions of Dublin and the discoveries made the day before in the city! The brand new computer room with computers equipped with webcams, the Internet connection via WiFi throughout the building, the well-stocked library and the multimedia centre complete the picture. And for video screenings or for shows, the cinema room is perfect. Founded in 2001, the language school ISI in Dublin is a dynamic institution which proposes a wide range of English courses for all levels.

During the high season and depending on the number of participants, the school offers extra classrooms close to the main course centre.

Accommodation

Host family
This is an option traditionally associated with a language study stay abroad, especially in Ireland where the inhabitants welcome their guest with warmth and friendliness. The families chosen by our partner school all live in safe areas, in the residential areas of the city, but the access to the school by public transport is very easy. You will stay in a single room and will have a quiet place for studying. You will benefit from half board during the week and full board at weekends.

Shared apartment (from 18 years)
The most independent students will choose this possibility which consists in sharing an apartments with other students. Located around a quarter of an hour away from the school, the apartments have single or double rooms, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen in which you will find all the equipment necessary in order to prepare your meals. A washing machine and dryer is installed. Bed sheets, duvets and pillows are provided. A cleaning service passes once a week.

Leisure

In the centre of Dublin, the offer of leisure activities will hold you spellbound after classes! The city and its surroundings abound with possibilities to amuse yourself and to improve your mind. Whether roaming in order to find a rare souvenir or discovering a pub with an evocative finish, going around a museum or art gallery, visiting the mythical abandoned detention centre of Kilmainham Gaol in the style of a cathedral- or playing golf on the legendary public fairways along the divided coasts...you will not get through the various possibilities to immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of this city!
Every week, our partner school puts an activities programme in place which the students get strongly involved in. The weekday evening are filled with the book club, the cinema club, the theatre club and themed evenings, organised by the international students. Dance the salsa, learn origami...If you are a football enthusiast, participate in the inter-schools championship with the ISI team - the winning team!

I would definitely recommend ISI to a friend! It's a great school and it has been a wonderful experience for me. The ISI staff is great, guys from reception always helped me, they are friendly, polite and efficient. Trish has helped me a lot since my arrival; she is always smiling and ready to help with any situation. I would like to let my friends know about their facebook page and keep in touch with them.
