Southern Lakes English College is located in the centre of Queenstown, close to shops, banks, parks, cafés and restaurants. This school, which is deliberately small in size, offers students optimal learning conditions with a notably very high quality teaching staff. It is made up of 6 spacious classrooms and a common room with a kitchenette and a ping-pong table. Host family
Known for their hospitality, staying with a New Zealander family during your stay in Queenstown is the best possible way to get acquainted with the “kiwi" way of life. Our partner school carefully selects host families, who generally live around 30 minutes away from the school. You will stay in a single room with half board provided.

Residence "Reaver's Lodge" (available from October to May)
Our partner school proposes this residence for more independent students. The establishment contains 90 single bedrooms with a private bathroom, a small refrigerator, bedlinen, dishes and cutlery. A common kitchen allows you to prepare your meals and in the dining room, you will get to know the other international students. There is also a living room, a television room and a small swimming pool. An interior courtyard allows you to relax and enjoy the sun. The residence is located in the centre of Queenstown, therefore not very far from the school. Prices and information on request.

Leisure

Using your English in a sports or social context is a very good way of developing your skills which you have acquired in class. For this reason, our partner school offers a different programme of activities each week. With activities such as bungee jumping, rafting, kayaking, horse riding, handgliding, mountain biking and sailing...it's difficult to get bored in Queenstown, a paradise for outdoor sports! During the winter, splendid slopes await lovers of skiing and snowboarding. For going out in the evening with your friends, you will be spoilt for choice with the numerous bars and cafés of the city.

I fell in love with Queenstown and I know I will go back there.

The organisation of my trip by ESL was just perfect. Unfortunately, on the way to Queenstown, I missed my connecting flight from Auckland to Queenstown because my flight was late and there was too little time (only a half hour) to go through customs and then go to the other airport to catch my flight. This is why I spent my first night in Auckland.
